The Specialized Master in “Real Estate, Building, Energy” aims at a global approach of construction, rehabilitation and management of buildings, which should facilitate the relationship between all the actors by providing a common culture, whether they be financial partners, building owners, urban designers, architects, builders, industrialists, managers or users. The ambition of this course is to help those involved in real estate and building processes to work together and to really achieve high performance with controlled costs and good social acceptability.
Mr. Kajander was invited to lecture in the module “Strategic management of the real estate portfolio”. The lecture focused on discussing new promising tools and approaches to manage increasing uncertainty in the real estate market. In particular, new tools for uncertainty management in decision-making, systematic user driven design processes, and in the utilization of latest flexible technologies have recently emerged to manage quickly changing user needs, high existing vacancy rates and maintenance costs.
