Boost Brothers served as a procurement expert for the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency in the preparation and implementation of the public procurement process for expert services related to environmental monitoring for the Hailuoto Causeway project. This is a nationally significant infrastructure project spanning approximately 8.4 kilometers, in which environmental impact monitoring plays a central role.

The assignment included drafting the procurement plan, conducting market dialogue, preparing the request for proposals, and managing the negotiation and contract phases. The procurement process emphasized high-quality environmental monitoring and consideration of key impacts, such as monitoring of water bodies, birdlife, and species.

The project demonstrates how public procurement can concretely advance biodiversity goals.

– This procurement combines a demanding infrastructure project with environmental responsibility in a concrete way. It’s great to see how procurement procedures can ensure high-quality environmental monitoring while also promoting biodiversity, says Tuomo Takkinen, Director at Boost.
