Settlementtiasunnot’s vision is to be an active developer and producer of socially sustainable multi-generation housing complexes.
The future should be prepared well in advance
The assessments and reviews of the technical conditions of buildings, as well long-term maintenance plans are great tools for real estate owners, but in order to prepare for the future, the actions should be examined on a regular basis on an enterprise level and done well in advance.
Reasonable housing costs in the future
The background of the project was Setlementtiasunnot’s aim to develop the public benefit housing business in a financially sustainable way, so that also in the future the rental and occupancy-right costs of living would be reasonable.
Settlementtiasunnot owns 20 houses in six cities (1,000 rental apartments and 400 occupancy-right apartments). Latest rental houses will be completed in Jätkäsaari, Kruunuvuorenranta, Sompasaari, Kalasatama in Helsinki, Kupittaa in Turku, Härmälänranta in Tampere and Penttilänranta, Joensuu.
The examination of the renovation timing and cost effects produced valuable information
In the project, renovation costs were examined regarding the entire housing stock. The review paid particular attention to the remedies of initial timing and cost effects.
“Now was a good time to evaluate the overall operation needs of future repairs and their effects. The Boost Brothers team produced valuable information and we will continue to actively grow our business,” states Setlementtiasunnot’s CEO, Kimmo Rönkä.
