In 2014, the company announced the Healthy House concept (Honka Terve Talo™), which was developed in co-operation with the Allergy and Asthma Federation, certified by VTT. Honka Healthy House ™ meets the strict requirements for indoor air purity, low emissions of materials, moisture management of structures and building technology. Honkarakenne is also relying on the Healthy House concept in public construction.
Boost Brothers gathered the most productive market and technology information for the customer
In the co-operation project, Boost Brothers mapped customer needs and added value factors to Honkarakenne’s new day-care concept. Boost also described the procurement process as well as the involvement of end-users especially from the customer’s point of view. For the project, the end-users´ decision-makers and topic experts were interviewed. Boost Brothers collected the most productive market and technology information into an easily processed form.
“Boost Brothers’ services helped us to effectively launch the new daycare concept,” says Tanja Rytkönen, Director of Honkarakenne Corporation.
34 log daycare centres by the end of 2020
The daycare concept has been well received on the market. Honkarakenne and its co-operation networks will supply a total of 34 log-built daycare buildings in different parts of Finland by the end of 2020. Healthy timber buildings are a response to the growing demand for clean and healthy indoor air.
“Sick leaves – of both staff and children – decreased considerably when we got into our new log daycare building,” says Marja-Leena Kasurinen, service manager of Touhula Varhaiskasvatus Oy.
